Organisational Development Consultancy Our Organisational Development (OD) work is all about working with clients to enhance their organisational effectiveness through adaptation: § External adaptation, in order to remain successful in rapidly changing environments, and § Internal adaptation, in order to ensure that the organisation itself is developed and supported in achieving its external ambitions Our focus is on enabling and improving organisations so that they fully realise their potential – doing so in a sustainable way that increases the capacity of the organisations themselves so that they can continue their development without our help. In essence we are ‘helpers’ to the leaders within an organisation – catalysts for change, organisational effectiveness, and improvement. The way we work is shaped by our values. We’re respectful and compassionate yet challenging, we seek to empower others, and we work with integrity and enthusiasm – always working ‘with’ our clients (rather than doing ‘to’ them). Because every organisation faces different external and internal challenges, each of our OD projects is different. They range from supporting major culture and organisational change, to supporting the implementation of new approaches to work, from team analysis, to improving senior team cohesion and effectiveness. We also lead and support the North West OD Community for professionals in this field. As well as providing an opportunity to network, this group shares best practice and learning, and provides an effective sounding board and support group for members. Facilitation and Consultancy With decades of experience of working in sectors as diverse as public health care, global pharmaceuticals and conservation charities, our team of facilitators and consultants has just about seen it all. Our understanding of organisational and group processes and our ability to help clients see ‘the wood for the trees’, have enabled us to build a loyal client base, who know that not only are we ambitious for ourselves, but we are also ambitious for them too (and proud of it)! And Finally We are committed to organisations fully realising their potential through their people, but we are also very aware that not all organisations can afford to buy in support as they develop for the future, or go through significant change. We especially recognise that this is often the case for charitable organisations who are striving to achieve a lot, in difficult circumstances, for important causes. Each year, CPD gives a number of OD consultancy days free of charge to such organisations as part of our commitment to the causes that the people in those organisaitons are working so hard to support. We are proud to do this work, and the focus of it is always not just to support ‘at the time’, but also to build the capacity within those organisations which enables them to keep growing and developing when we’re not there... |
